I am (yet again) juggling 3 books at once, but lately I've been immersed in "Our Hideous Progeny" by @cemcgill.bsky.social. I'll read it before bed and then spend like an hour staring at the ceiling in awe. I want to know what happens, but I don't want it to be over!

I swear to all the gods, you need to be mentally prepared for the amount of teen angst contained in a stack of English essays written by 17-year-olds.
Sometimes I'll think back to when I listened to the audiobook for Stone Blind by @nataliehaynes.bsky.social (also narrated by her!) for the first time, and I wish I could experience all those emotions again. By the time it was over, I was chopping up veggies and sobbing in the kitchen. Cathartic.
