Anyone know what's happening here with Athena and Herakles on this vessel possibly by the Micali Painter? Is she handing him a quiver and... crossbow?? or are the items attached to his back and she's waving some fabric behind him?

My photo shows a Roman bronze waterspout designed in the shape of an animal’s head — likely a wolf. The animal’s ears stand upright, the eyes are expressive, and the fur is textured with fine lines around the face and neck. The animal’s mouth is open wide, its jaws gripping the water spout outlet. It resembles a dog fetching a newspaper which gives it an endearing quality The water spout outlet has a flat base which flares outwards, reminiscent of the shape of a dustpan (from a dustpan and brush). Water flowed from the spout into a public water trough or fountain. The bronze is dark brown in colour with a greenish patina in places.

Villa de Noheda, Villar de Domingo García #Spain
During the #Roman occupation of Spain, there lived a man who was so wealthy that he could have his wine shipped all the way from Syria. One of the largest mosaics ever found.

The Roman villa: The villa itself is immense, covering about 24 acres, and belonged to a wealthy aristocrat, potentially connected to Emperor Theodosius I. The mosaic: The mosaic is the largest figurative one discovered in the entire Roman Empire, spanning over 291 square meters in the dining room. It is rich with mythological and daily life scenes, including the abduction of Helen of Troy and the chariot race between Pelops and Hippodamia. Discovery: The site was discovered by accident in 2005 when a tractor hit a hard spot in a field. Current status: The site is an active archaeological excavation, and while only a small portion has been explored, it is considered one of Spain's most important Roman sites.
