Hey look- it’s Mayor Johnston and the the Deputy Manager and COO of DOTI with the lobbying firm that Jill Anschutz used to kill the Alameda road safety project. If you are a regular resident and want something done in this city. You don’t stand a chance against those with money.

Bullshit cultural grievance is the overwhelming factor in this shit but to the extent there is any legit city anxiety afoot it’s because people who don’t live in cities don’t understand this. A city neighborhood is far more cozy, welcoming, and human than a big ass suburb. bsky.app/profile/mrlo...
I think this is what gets so lost by people who don't live like this. I live in a city, but the vast majority of the time I just live in a neighborhood, which feels just like a small town in the midst of a big city.

The upcoming Denver bond has some suspiciously timed additions that clearly benefit the Broncos and their new stadium plans. Rather than give them a handout we should ask for more urgent projects to be funded. A friend made this page you can use to sign the petition www.stop-the-broncos-bond.com

This is exactly what Denver’s leadership chose. There were plans for a protected bike lane on Tejon that were squashed a few years back in favor of parking. We have been begging for safe infrastructure city-wide for years, but they just keep refusing.

Happened to walk past the scene on the way home from dinner. I’m so sad and furious. Cars are a cancer.

Gigantic SUVs are a public health threat. Why don’t we treat them like one?

The anti-smoking playbook is worth studying and learning from, and is completely applicable to oversized cars.

This is a good article, worth reading.

Your occasional reminder that the Mayor and DOTI leadership got rid of a protected bike lane here to enhance the valet parking experience for steakhouse patrons while making this bike lane more dangerous for anyone that rides it on a bike or scooter.
