Could be either - she did explicitly express interest in presidency. The whole rift between her and Trump, as superficial as it probably is, could be a publicity stunt for it.
So is MTG angling for 2026 GA governor or 2028 president?

The neo-Nazis who were literally just pushing the accelerationist, post-left/right "unified" movement are either gonna love this or hate this. I suspect it'll be some of both, depending on how indispensable one's racism is from the rest of their crooked ideology.
That press conference is the wildest footage I’ve ever seen. Trump gleefully agreed that he’s a “fascist” and “despot,” and that the US has used taxes to support “Israeli genocide.”

And he smiled at and defended Mamdani with an affection I’ve literally never seen him direct at anyone before.

Wut.

They are literally firing all the judges they think might grant relief. They just fired a friend of mine a couple hours ago. They have no shame. The bastards want an assembly line for deportations and nothing more; rubber-stamping bootlickers who’ll yes’sir at every new diktat to deny.
Instead of hiring more immigration judges, the Department of Justice just posted an ad for "deportation judges." join.justice.gov

NEW: Texas goes to the Supreme Court in the redistricting case, seeking a stay pending appeal and administrative stay. The state also asks the court to treat this as a request for merits review.

This filing was expected, but this is very quick.

It will be Docket No. 25A608.

Apropos of this crap, a good friend who has been an immigration judge for years just got unceremoniously fired by email — another victim of the ongoing purges of those who believe in due process.

I am furious. Years of civil service ended by people who hate that an immigrant might win a case.
After renaming immigration judges as "deportation judges" (not what they're called by law), DHS, which acts as the prosecutor in immigration cases, is falsely claiming that people could do the job part-time "after hours"; except no, immigration courts are only open during the daytime.

DHS do always be looking for ways to... innovate on the law.

We spent a year investigating billionaires for @washingtonpost.com.

We found: the wealthiest 100 Americans gave $1.1 billion to influence the 2024 elections — 140x more than they did in 2000. And almost all of that giving boosted Republicans.
