Old concept sketch of an echinopod; extraterrestrial animaloids with echinodermoid morphology & arthropoid physiology!

A medium-sized reef-dwelling benthic predator inspired by echinoids, ctenophores & cephalopods. It uses clawed tendrils to capture prey, & is covered in venomous defensive spines.

Absolutely obsessed with this late 19th century illustration of the Orion Nebula by Otto Boeddicker.
An illustration…Surreal monochrome with bands and textures resembling flowing fabric. Stars pepper the background. A false color image of the actual Orion nebula, where you can see many of the features from the illustration, but without the foldy fabric bands.

Doing more train work for today's #NightmareKart dev thread!

To start, I worked on adding proper collision to the train, as well as damaging players who get caught under the wheels. I also added power ups underneath some cars to hint at the possibility of driving underneath.

Back from an evening looking for #amphibians... specifically to look for the invasive Alpine newts that are _supposed_ to be in our area. Common toads and Smooth newts were observed in good numbers in the ponds... 1/n
Pond at night, filled with dead leaves, toads and newts visible on the water. Female Smooth newt in pond, Wandering snail nearby. Male Smooth newt in pond. Newts in pond full of dead leaves.
