Fraudulent scientific articles often contain "fingerprints", phrases or other identifiable elements that indicate that they're a product of text generation. "Vegetative electron microscopy" has immediately taken its place amongst my favourites.

The US government is censoring scientists and backtracking on funding. Big tech is shamelessly using AI to use copyrighted content from pirate libraries, and many legitimate open access initiatives such as the Gates Foundation and cOAlition S are backpedaling. Dark days ahead for science, I feel.
