This is the America I always hoped to live in.

The one where people stick up for each other. The one where people of every ethnicity and religion come together to fight for what's right - even when the opposition is literally murdering us for it.

Even though @houserepublicans.bsky.social refused to extend the ACA tax credits, @housedemocrats.bsky.social got it to the floor and passed it today.

We can still make healthcare more affordable for millions of Americans.

Keep the pressure on!

The truth matters.

Those who deny the horrific violence and lawlessness that inspired the attack on the Capitol want the American people to forget.

They don’t want you to question their power or hold them accountable.

But we must remember.

This kind of bottle-shaming is a not-so-subtle way to push women out of the workforce.

The vicious cycle of monopolization:

1) Corporations argue that their growth is just part of the free market.
2) Use their monopoly power to gouge consumers.
3) Take a portion of their profits to make political donations.
4) Lobby against antitrust enforcement.
5) Repeat.

BREAKING: Pennsylvania is now driving out November SNAP benefits.

After we won in court yesterday, we moved quickly to start getting benefits loaded on EBT cards and out the door — and we're working to get every Pennsylvanian currently waiting for federal food assistance benefits what they're owed.

The gap between teacher pay and other college graduates’ pay is the highest it’s been in over four decades.

Is there a “teacher shortage,” or a shortage of jobs that treat educators with the pay, dignity, and support they deserve?

My thoughts on this dark day.

1/ The beating heart of a free society is the ability for citizens to engage in political life with no fear of violence. Once we lose this freedom, few will step forward, and our entire democratic experiment unwinds into chaos and recrimination.

Charlie Kirk called me a ‘lunatic’ and a ‘prostitute’ and demanded I be deported.

Nothing, *nothing*, justifies killing him, or robbing his kids of their dad.

We don’t know the identity or motive of the shooter but murder can *never* be the response to political disagreements.

Another school shooting today. This time it's Colorado.

Children should be able to go to school without being afraid of being shot.

Gun violence is taking too many American lives.

We cannot continue to go down this path without action.
Shocked & heartbroken to see there is an ongoing incident involving an active assailant at Evergreen High School. I'm hopeful law enforcement is able to intervene & ensure all kids come home safe.

We are in communication with local law officials & will be there to support the Evergreen community.
