Woke up late and have to wait for my coffee because Aaron is “on a timecrunch” because he “has to leave for work.” That was some bullshit.

I have muted most every possible keyword into oblivion but I need to be distracted. Will someone please tell me what the hell everyone is currently wishing they hadn’t seen?

Seattle next mainstage show is Come from Away. They’re marketing it as a feel-good musical.

Has anyone on their team actually watched the show???

Good info to have, especially for business owners and employees.
IANAL but this guy is and he has an excellent explainer up on how to behave if an undocumented person flees immigration enforcement into your home or business.

Thread but also just don't tell Paypal anything. No "what is this for" you both know what it's for. If you send a friend some money for dinner or something and you say "for friday night", even odds they get banned as a sex worker.
PayPal has rolled out a new "feature" that prompts you to leave feedback about an artist that you've commissioned via invoice.

Whatever you do, DO NOT fill this out! To quote Admiral Ackbar, "IT'S A TRAP!!!" It is meant to misguide you.

Dear gods I love the way language changes.
My favorite piece of content today.

Fantasies are fun. Living in fantasies lead to a whole lot of weirdness and harm.

Not participating in the government systems that currently exist feels morally superior and is also entirely counterproductive to affecting change because of the ways the systems in power operate.

“That’s the real escapist fantasy in Legends & Lattes – making friends in your 40s.” @travisbaldree.bsky.social speaks truth.

Lyft driver is playing early 2000s boy band music. Pure, delightful nostalgia for my old heart.

Walked the dogs to the coffee shop with crème puffs and they were sold out. Bought two pastries to comfort my grief.

Crisis averted.

I wish there was a “I do not, at any time now or in the future, want AI involved with any aspect of medical care for my pets” option for these prompts.

The best comedy is the kind that tells the truth.
I remember when there was a discussion on Twitter about Shein's manufacturing practices and some apologists invented all sorts of fantastical machinery and technology to avoid facing the more horrifying truth. Reminds me of this comedian's joke.

Aaron is slowly getting sucked into Traitors. This is the best thing I have ever done in my officially capacity as Spouse.

Oh, so All Her Fault is actually about the mental load of being the feminized parent? That tracks.

You know what to do!
AI advocates have warned that if every author in the class action filed a claim, it would "financially ruin" the entire industry.
Authors celebrate “historic” settlement coming soon in Anthropic class action
Advocates fear such settlements will “financially ruin” the AI industry.

Who are the people who lived in this house before us? I have questions.

I just wanna talk.

“I’ll pop into the nursery and grab the hay bale!”

(a surprise twist on the theme because there was a craft show at the nursery)

Leaves with a hay bale, three art prints, a handmade wood pepper mill, local honey, wax melts, dog treats, a christmas card, mead, and a pocket full of salami.

😂
Me at 1:15pm: I need succulent soil, 4 succulents, and 2 heucheras.

Me at 2:10pm: Leaves nursery with succulent soil, 5 succulents, 7 heucheras, and 10 other plants.

Me at 2:15pm: You know what? This is growth.

Amazing thread of photos with the best use of alt text that I’ve seen.
THREAD. A collection of photographs of excellent cattle I have met on walks.

You will find the captions to each photo in the alt text.

The best part about the Traitors is how confidently wrong everyone is 95% of the time.

It’s always rough when my “don’t sit down until there’s nothing else I need to finish” rule runs into “I need to eat.”

Anyway, I’ve watched two episodes of Traitors UK after sitting down to eat an apple with peanut butter.

I firmly believe our petty/ridiculous/vindicative sides need space to exist. They’re all part of what makes us human. Bonus – it’s just more fun.

Trans rights are human rights. They also win elections.
Checking in on this: the school board member who opposed the ban on trans athletes, and who was then challenged by the parent of the HS girl who'd complained, won reelection, 60 to 40%.
I'd totally missed this:

In Tumwater, WA, a HS student complained about a trans basketball player. Then, the local school board passed a resolution to ban trans girls from girl sports.

Now, the mother of that student is running against the sole school board member to vote against the resolution.
