Again, we’re heading toward a world where we either teach state-approved propaganda, or a world where everyone gets A’s for doing no work &/or choosing their own comforting course content & requirements, lest we get investigated & fired because one student is unhappy.

A reminder that the DOJ wants to investigate the issue. The DOJ wasting time investigating our classrooms is an open invitation for any frivolous complaint from any student, anywhere with too much time on their hands.

I regret every joke I’ve made about how our elected officials were so old they didn’t know how to use a computer. I would give anything for another administration that doesn’t know how to use a computer

Everyone is getting upset about the data centers. They pollute a lot and use a lot of energy and will eventually be very ugly/huge vacant buildings. And I understand being mad about that. Until you consider the state of the lazer tag industry at this moment, and how much help that sector needs.

If R’s don’t solve health insurance, they will get killed in the midterms. It’s that bad. There will be a huge number of uninsured families and that won’t be forgotten or forgiven.
Trump, even with dementia setting in, gets it. He’s ready to extend the subsidies for two years. Kick the can!
From The Hill

What are Republicans going to do before our health insurance costs explode?? ANYTHING???

A friend who’s on Social Security told me today that her new combined cost for Medicare, supplemental plan & pharmaceutical coverage is $800 per month.

Idea: perhaps the Steelers should play in a way that is better and results in less losing

Being a Steelers fan is a special kind of sports fan hell. The owner cares far more about being known for not firing coaches than for winning, the head coach operates like an emperor, knowing he doesn’t have to change his ways, and to top it off, they’re almost as cheap as the Bengals. Nice.

It’s clear that Republicans are very worried about the upcoming special election in a Tennessee district that Trump won by double digits.

Scoop: Trump and Johnson to hold tele-rally for GOP in tight Tennessee House race
Should Republicans lose — or win narrowly — it would further expectations that the party is heading toward a perilous midterm.

I'm convinced that behind every stupid, destructive thing Trump does is a group of smart, malicious people who find an secret angle to make money and they whisper in his ear knowing that he is both corrupt and credulous.

The purpose is to stop women from getting occupations that create jobs and security outside the home.

Project 2025

They want all women to be under the thumb of a male and they also want women to hand their vote over to the male in the house.

Some sick shit right here.

The Trump admin now says nursing isn't a professional degree.

The admin plan to redefine what constitutes a professional degree to exclude nursing and limit access to student loans — outraging national health care groups and leaving nursing students questioning how they'll pay for graduate degrees.

In the last week, Donald Trump has called for the murder of Congressional Democrats and threatened to unilaterally declare an invasion of Venezuela.

If Congressional Republicans followed the Constitution, both of these would be removable offenses. But, they’re loyal to Trump, not the constitution.

I see a need for salary caps tied to non-management worker pay, and a need for pre-Reagan tax rates for high earners.

The peril for society is that by paying executives like we do, they start to believe they are entitled to anything they want - no matter how bad it is for everyone else.
Walmart and McDonald’s are among the top employers of workers who rely on food stamps.

McDonald's CEO raked in $18.2M last year — over 1,000x the company's median employee pay.

Walmart's CEO pocketed $27.4M — 930x the company's median employee pay.

See the problem?
