Not how I enjoy spending a chilly, rainy Thursday night, but someone has to remind the school board that there are decent, intelligent people in the community who expect them to do the right thing by following their own nondiscrimination policy and protecting ALL students.

This is good. Also, show up at school board meetings. Even if your board does not support things in the EO, like any other elected official it helps them to know they have the community’s support in fighting back. And other community members need to hear rational people speaking up.

Occasional reminder that there’s no, “it’s too late, its over” for anthropogenic climate change. Every molecule of CO2 that doesn’t go into the atmosphere makes a difference. Preventing 0.1 degree of warming makes a difference. Every bit of climate resilience we build together makes a difference.

In light of the (unsurprising) news about RFK, Jr. I’ve requested from my doc to have my titers checked to see if my childhood vaccinations have worn off. If so I’ll get those updated ASAP. It’s too bad I’m too young to qualify for the shingles vax or I’d absolutely get that one, too.
As someone who is online way too much for her own good, this cracked me up because I understand every gif referenced.

As someone who is online way too much for her own good, this cracked me up because I understand every gif referenced.
Attended a women’s leadership seminar today in a program I’ve been in for the past 6 months. Speaker is encouraging everyone to join boards & get involved in community. But it just feels like we’re rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

I cannot state enough how important this organization is. This is our bench. These are our Senators in a decade. This is where we grow long-term power. Every single elected office needs to have a progressive on the ballot. Leaving an empty spot is wasteful, and is a lousy strategy. #pol

I cannot state enough how important this organization is. This is our bench. These are our Senators in a decade. This is where we grow long-term power. Every single elected office needs to have a progressive on the ballot. Leaving an empty spot is wasteful, and is a lousy strategy. #pol
