"Stop thinking of COVID as if it's an acute cold. Think of it as a neuroinvasive virus you can get every year or two that slowly degrades your brain in ways that will harm your abilities and quality of life throughout your life." (thread with studies)
I just read my tenth #COVID19 research study in the past month or so that demonstrates COVID infections cause brain changes that may accelerate Alzheimer's disease, are associated with cognitive decline, and cause fatigue, memory impairment, and sleep disorders. (1/?)

Canadian friends, head's up.

Fighting the US version here, looks like one slipped in your legislative schedule, too.
Hey Fellow 🇨🇦 Miscreants

The Senate's trying to slip Bill S-209 through on the down-low, and it's basically a photostatic copy of the UK's Online Safety Act except worse because they're making your ISP do it (Telus, Rogers, et al)

Time to start raising hell on our own soil now.

We have to stay with it. The fucking Die's cast. If people let it die down or move on because it's not "trending" they absolutely will win on this and that cannot happen.
The Itch/Steam thing dropped off the trending tab.

Therefore it's time to remind you again to swamp the payment processors with more calls.

If the call volume dies down in under a week they aren't going to learn their lesson. Make them regret it.

time to once again tap the giant neon sign that reads "dont use your fucking discord server as your one and only form of documentation for guides/resources/etc."

"Well what if we just get rid of Section 230 and see what happens? What's the worst thing that could happen?"

Ask a sex worker.

The last time Congress changed Section 230, people died.

Want to Fix Big Tech? Stop Ignoring Sex Workers.
SESTA/FOSTA was supposed to prevent sex trafficking. Instead it got people killed. Congress should study its failure before changing Section 230 again.

The scripts at 5calls.org are helpful walkthroughs & it's been good for me to include it on the list of things to do. If you're phone-anxious like me, calling outside of office hours means you're very likely to get voicemail, too.
