This will be my last steps achieved 4 weeks (daily goal is 7,500, my daily average was 7,924) for about 3 months. 😢😢

See quoted post below for why! My right ankle is going to look like the RH pic for way too long for my liking!

Love the end result, hate the recovery period. 🥴

Suggest we all keep an eye on developments here. Without the safety net, many of us coud not afford specialists. We need to be ready to raise our concerns if necessary.

I recommend everyone watch out for their B6 intake. I discovered mine is higher than I'd like. B6 gets added into things we don't expect. Bit scary, actually.

🧵 1. I am nothing if not stubborn. After a lifetime of officework (e.g. sitting!), my piriformis muscles give me a bit of grief periodically. So I have a stretch routine. Per below video.

I noticed my left leg is a nice 90⁰, but my right is not. So I whinged to my myotherapist.

I have had a day.
Did my laundry, walked with my neighbour, all good. Despite a bit of back & glute pain, I went to gym, then quick lunch with a friend then to GP. By now my pain had ⬆️ & sitting driving was not helping. Drive to pharmacy to fill pain med script. They didn't have it in stock. 🙄

#ChronicIllness #Surgery With ankle surgety looming, I'm gearing myself up for maintaining #MovementAsMedicine at home for the recovery duration.
I bought myself a present! With the ankle surgery coming up, I won't be able to go to the gym for f'ing weeks, so invested in some dumbbells for upper body work at home.

I already have ankle weights for leg raises etc.

Cc #WQuers - It's not all just about puzzles! 🤣

More and more Neuroscience shows that building muscle makes your brain more resilient to adversity by improving its ability to handle stress. I decided to experiment on myself. 3 months of strength training 3-4 per week. Daily 2g of protein/kg and 10g of creatine. Never felt better 💪

There is SO MUCH scientific evidence that muscle growth profoundly affects brain health. I could not ignore it anymore. There is no age to start. Especially for women — ladies, hear me out — strength training is one of the best investments we can make to improve our cognition🧠

I'm not sure if this is #aging, medications or #ChronicIllness, but I keep forgetting to do simple little things.

In the last 12 hours, for example, I forgot:

To put the yoghurt in the fridge at 12 hour mark
Change HRT patch before bed
Charge watch this morning
