Notable that public satisfaction with Scottish schools peaked at 85% in 2011 at the end of the SNP's first, non-independence-focused term in office, and has declined precipitously since then to now sit at 69%, as "doing devolved government well" has given way to "picking fights and pushing indy".

Complaining to Labour about problems created by the Tories is at epidemic proportions on here. How the fuck are they meant to have reversed fourteen years of decline in fourteen months?
Hi Lisa Nandy! I’m a BAFTA winner from a small town. Instead of asinine questions like this, why not tell us how we can continue to make a living in the eviscerated creative sector over which you notionally preside?

KEY to the story about ABC suspending Kimmel's show: Nexstar and Sinclair, two big owners of ABC-affiliated stations, both need FCC approval for pending deals. With a lot of $$ on the line, both have reason to curry favor with the Trump admin. Both decided to yank Kimmel's show.

It’s happening. The takedown of Jimmy Kimmel is likely the start of a campaign to use the murder of Charlie Kirk as a pretext to use the power of the White House to wipe out Trump’s critics and his political opponents.

But we aren’t powerless. We can mobilize and organize. Now.

A free and democratic society cannot silence comedians because the President doesn’t like what they say.

This is an attack on free speech and cannot be allowed to stand.

All elected officials need to speak up and push back on this undemocratic act.

❤️ if you think Kimmel and Colbert need to start their own podcasts immediately to amplify the resistance so the truth can be made loud and clear and we can take back the House and Senate come 2026 midterms.

I was a bit unsure about Channel 4's 'Trump vs The Truth', but it's started very strongly. The format is beautifully simple, with fact checks just written in text after each lie is shown. It will stand as an important record of the most venal, glibly self-serving, idiot shyster ever to hold office.

Nuclear works. It’s safe, clean and reliable. In other countries, it’s affordable too.

Here's how Britain can lead again in nuclear by fixing bad safety rules, streamlining planning, and creating new routes to market.
Britain once led the world in nuclear power.

Today, we’re building the most expensive nuclear power station in history.

Why? And how do we fix it?
