Tomorrow, President Trump will be hosting a dinner for top buyers of his $TRUMP meme coin. "The folks attending are paying money essentially into his own businesses," setting an alarming precedent, @danw329.bsky.social told NBC Nightly News.

This budget is shameful and cruel. It takes from the most vulnerable to profit the most comfortable. It will make the rich even richer and the poor even poorer.

They are going to ignore court orders.

If they ignore court orders, the social contract is dead and buried, the constitution is no longer in effect.

It's a rubicon that cannot be uncrossed.

A bit of much-needed good news for North Atlantic right whales. 🐳 A court reinstated protections for the whales from entanglement in fishing gear (one of the species' biggest threats) in Massachusetts.

These actions by Trump/Musk show America as a nation trampling the rule of law. Trump/Musk cannot unilaterally close USAID or transfer under State. USAID is codified by the Foreign Affairs Reform and Restructuring Act of 1998, 22 U.S.C. 6501 et seq. 7/8

If you are a federal worker being offered a buyout, I would advise against taking it.

Of course, this is a personal decision for everyone and it’s your choice.

But these offers are a rush job. The legality is questionable and this admin does not keep to its word.

They aren’t firing for a reason.

On day one Trump's EO said we were harmful to kids. On day two, it said we were dishonorable and disloyal. On day three, it said we were unAmerican.

Transgender people have been a part of this country for centuries.

We are not going anywhere.

Do not comply with these EOs, they are not law.

This is my favorite picture of Stonewall.

They knew they were getting arrested just for being LGBTQ+.

Yet... they're still here, standing outside of the boarded up Stonewall Inn, smiling as the world was at a fever pitch of hatred against them.

I think about it a lot in moments like this.

My crankiest belief is that we are now being sold on solutions to problems which only exist because we've let others convince us they exist. That is what "innovation" seems to be in 2025.

There's a level of introspection that's just not happening these days re: what actually needs to bother us.

Read more & buy less.
Garden more & dine out less.

Two seemingly easy ideas but they’re effective! We need a full stop on the hamster wheel they’ve got us in. ✋

The price of eggs in the US is spiking, mostly due to #H5N1 bird flu. Solving the problem requires urgent, important communications from the CDC & FDA* and rapid development of research by the NIH**
