When I said I was concerned about ICE in Chicago (because I live here!) coworkers said I was a white US citizen, I had nothing to worry about. Didn't believe me when I said it's not going to matter, this administration doesn't care about collateral damage.
If Renee Nicole Good's murder is a watershed it's because she's white.
After Trump's victory, I received texts from some acquaintances that "only" minorities would be impacted.They conceded to me how terrible that is but stupidly consoled themselves they were immune.

Johnson: It is equally inappropriate for ICE agents to just throw teargas out of a window because people are yelling at them. It is unacceptable for ICE agents to go up and threaten to arrest and harm people because they are honking a horn or exercising a protest, that is unacceptable.

It shows us:
A- where we need to/can/must strengthen the system to codify boundaries & limits above & beyond mere norms.
B- how many really good people there are & there have been. Not perfect, never, but very very good overall.
It is time to build towards our more perfect union.
