Being trans is a gift and one I am so grateful to have received. No fascist Trumpist nationalist bullshit will ever change that.

Refusing to discuss or challenge any social or political ideas in your work IS a social and political agenda. You’re saying you’re fine with the way things are and nothing needs to change. You’re saying that the people who aren’t represented or even acknowledged in your work don’t matter.

saw someone asking what trans people did to deserve all the vitriol, & nothing actual of course. but transness breaks the rule #1 of the conservative hierarchical worldview, that your position is to a large degree defined by your birth. choosing to put yourself in a different tier is heretical

framing trans rights as in opposition to women’s rights is a neat trick given that trans rights *are* women’s rights.

bodily autonomy, personal agency, opposition to sex based harassment, violence, and discrimination. these are trans rights and women’s rights. attacking one is attacking the other.

people keep being like "trans issues are a distraction! we are being distracted by 1% of the population!" but trans people are not the distraction. transphobia is.

trans rights means every trans person has the right to be whatever type of trans they wanna be, and that you will fight for them to exist and to thrive in their lived experience

furry is a queer subculture.

I am glad to be a furry.

Having watched many kids come out as trans, what adults don’t understand is how kids become themselves when they come out.

I use the word “bloom.” They’re happier. Their personalities become brighter and more vivid. It’s what every good parent wants to see.

And it really can save a kid’s life.
