This is just such a lovely, kinetic and characterful UI.
My strategy game, MORSE released this week!

MORSE teaches you Morse Code through timing, tactics and telegraphy. Learn a secret language, build your own telegraph and jump head first down the rabbit hole of ham radio. 🔥⚓️⚫️➖

Made a stupidly hard quiz where you have to identify the Call of Duty game by just the face on the box alone. Having literally just made it I only scored 18 out of 22. www.gamesradar.com/games/call-o...

NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

Tax the rich. Greg Ryan in @bloomberg.com:
Millionaire Tax That Inspired Mamdani Fuels $5.7 Billion Haul in Massachusetts
A millionaire levy in Massachusetts that New York City mayoral frontrunner Zohran Mamdani holds up as a model for taxing the rich has generated $3 billion more in revenue than expected without forcing...

Well this sucks, because I did really want to play this but AI for voice work is a top tier no.
Not to be the fun police but I do hope people know that Arc Raiders does use generative AI for voice acting, and by supporting the game you're letting higher-ups know that this is an okay practice.

They try to downplay this on the Steam store page by describing the AI usage as vaguely as possible.

I like that Obsidian is really digging into difficult decisions and grey area wins with Avowed and Outer Worlds 2. But only for other people. My playthrough must be flawless and fail free.

As an English person that doesn’t follow or understand any sport, my current understanding of the situation is that baseball is evil now?

Best Outer Worlds 2 experience so far: accidentally finding what was clearly the end of an undiscovered mission where everyone was all ‘we are ready to die’ and immediately slaughtered by my companions, without me having any idea what was going on. 10/10, would get everyone killed again.

Whenever I see anyone talking about LLMs like they're alive or AGI is near, I assume they either know nothing about them, or they're on a grift.
Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

Excellent that I now have to use a VPN to see images on a coding forum but also need to turn it off so I can search for what I need in the first place. Well done internet.

Remember seeing this EVERWHERE when it came out but never read it because I thought it was an author I didn’t like who did boring people just talking stuff. Did a double take seeing the TV Glow director was adapting it and holy shit I completely missed what this was about, so I’m going in.

The most boring search in the world, trying to find the make of a kitchen tap, somehow incudes one of the most horrific murders I’ve ever read about as the fifth result.

This is one of the most beautifully weird things I’ve seen in a longtime. Just jaw dropping art design and creativity, like a Laika fever dream.

A dead giveaway Bloodlines 2 wasn't what The Chinese Room wanted to do is when a character who's whole thing is 'not going out' appears in your hallway with a mission. However that objective was meant to start clearly got cut & this was the only solution. The dialogue even covers the contradiction.
October 17, 2025 at 1:50 PM
Bloodlines 2 plays like a game that was patched together out of whatever was done when the time was up. Characters you've done missions with introduce themselves for the first time hours later, there are very few set pieces but lots of objectives to fight enemy groupings on the general map.

Reanimal is SO Little Nightmares 3 in all but name. Same basic game, feel, atmosphere; everything. Right down to things like discarded human skins being draped around exactly like the empty clothes were in LN2.

Fixing this required pretty much 4-5 complete re-writes, discovering a different problem each time until I finally found the root cause nowhere near where I thought it would be. It was not fun.
At a stage of debugging where sometimes the code repeats twice before it breaks, sometimes it’s six, sometimes it just keeps going. Great, thanks. Easy.
