FIREWORKS CAN BE MADE WITHOUT RIDICULOUSLY LOUD BANGS. Our dogs cope generally well, but tonight is the third night in a row of stupid banging and it isn't even 5th Nov yet...poor things 🦮. Retailers could supply only low noise versions to the general public.

That means that in the face of danger - such as fire creeping through a bonfire heap - their instinct is to roll into a tight ball instead of run for safety.
