Where I live we got 7-9 inches of snow overnight so today was a good day for the ferrets to see what it’s all about. The girls didn’t really like it but Geralt wanted to investigate and poop in it! 🤣

Some random person in a ferret group answered a question someone had about food and said “ferrets are working animals not ‘fur babies’ they’ll eat whatever I shoot for them!”
Then I look over to this face peering back at me. So fierce. 🤭 she’s definitely asking if it’s snacky time.

Can’t find a way to write this that doesn’t sound like a twee bromide but genuinely, if your end of year review is that you survived painful things happening in your life & the world, stayed empathetic in an inhospitable environment & treated yourself & others decently then that’s achievement enough

The ferrets got their Christmas present early, mainly because it's hard to hide a 4ft wooden wheel...
We have been sitting here all evening watching them having a great time with it. Swizzels & Skittles arguing over it.
