At the #utah #fightoligarchyrally #berniesanders rally and security is lying to the thousands waiting outside to get in. I can count thousands of open seats. No one is “waiting to be seated”. Shame.

UTAH SHOWED UP FOR BERNIE!
But they wouldn’t let them in.

The dance is worth fighting for ✌️
Good morning. The dance, whatever that means to you, is worth fighting for.

“During the darkest days of the AIDS crisis, we buried our friends in the morning, protested in the afternoon and danced all night. The dance kept us in the fight because it was the dance we were fighting for.

Self care is more important than ever. We need to be strong, balanced, and mentally at peace for what lies ahead.

Please take some time today to do something that nurtures and restores you. You need it and you deserve it. 🌱

My brother experienced hideous abuse at the hands of administration in an Utah congregate care facility 20+ years ago. When he took his life in July of 2022, after 12 years of therapy 6 years of suicide attempts, he cited these abuses as his strongest reason for wanting to die.

ICYMI, a bill that seeks to put more regulations on Utah’s “troubled teen” facilities is advancing in the legislature. Some who have been in these facilities — including Paris Hilton — are pressuring lawmakers to pass it: www.fox13now.com/news/politic...

In case you learned whitewashed American history in Utah like I did (or some other culture that benefits from burying our racist past & present) like and you’re wondering what Kendrick was referencing, here’s a quick catch up:

Make good use of your Saturday evening…
It would be a real shame if people spammed hr@opm.gov with 5 points saying how this Administration sucks 😊

It’s the little things, the small, delicious delights that keep me going in these dark times.
As someone who has, for several years now, made my deep, white-hot loathing of Elon Musk both a central component of my personality and indeed a core tenet of my spirituality, this moment is more healing than the best therapist money could buy.

I knew there was a reason to get up this morning
CNN: Do you think that calling Elon Musk "a dick" is effective messaging?

Rep. Robert Garcia: "Well, he is a dick."

I approve this message.

We are witnessing a destructive cultural shift that will ripple through generations, all because we’ve allowed ourselves to become complacent consumers, focused solely on the almighty dollar. Utahn’s true “god”, the worship of money, is now on full display.

I officially have a new hero.
Ok BUCKLE UP.

I just learned about Catholic Nun Megan Rice, who at age 82 got arrested for spray painting anti-war slogans on a nuclear enrichment facility.

It’s never too late to learn how to spray paint, people.

How many times does this need to be statistically proven before conservatives finally start caring about life more than they care about imposing puritanical morals?

How to make people disgruntled towards immigrants:

1 - flood the job market by destroying thousands of jobs in two months time
2 - cut welfare resources to increase the misery and desperation of the unemployed
3 - blame immigrants for job and welfare scarcity

It’s straight from Hitler’s playbook.

“That was the day that I began to realize how hard it is to be anything but what the world already thinks you are.”

The Collected Regrets of Clover, by Mikki Brammer

I’m on the fence about this book - it’s romanticizing a relationship with a man who won’t take many “no thank yous” for an answer.
