Shutting down the government is a big deal. People have been hurt in big ways as a result of the decision. To have that suffering be for nothing—to re-open the government without actually having protected people’s health insurance and economic well-being—is unconscionable.

Plus, suicide in farmers 3x the national average. Farmers feel betrayed by this government and don’t know how to survive.
“What's going to be left in a year, two years? Am I the one that broke what started in the late 1800s?” asks Franklin Carmack, a fifth-generation American farmer. He says his farm is in the red and fears he’ll lose the family farm. cbsn.ws/47Ayfr2

Q: Politico reported on a group chat of young Republicans. Does this just reflect some bad apples?

HOCHUL: Some bad apples? These are the future of the GOP. This is so vile it's hard to find the words to put into context ... there's gotta be consequences ... this bullshit has to stop.

HOLY SH*T.

There it is.

Trump says he will speak to the DOJ about giving Ghislaine Maxwell a pardon.
Trump on pardoning Ghislaine Maxwell: Haven't heard the name in so long. I’ll take a look at it. I’ll speak to the DOJ. A lot of people have asked me for pardons.

Reporter: But she’s convicted of sex trafficking

Trump: I’ll have to take a look at it.

This would be a most profound gesture of goodwill.

Trump has cut FEMA grants for communities recovering from disasters as he plans to phase out the agency.

He's also taking an axe to NOAA — the agency that warns us of severe weather.

Trump is declaring fake "emergencies" while reducing our ability to deal with real ones.
