My name is Lydia Green. I’m a leftist organizer, Democratic District Leader, & queer Jewish NYer. And I’m running to represent district 52 in the NYS Assembly. Brooklyn is my home, and I believe it should be a livable home for all.

I sincerely hope Democrats pay attention to tonight’s results across the country. They won’t learn anything but still. Maybe. People are excited by change and original campaigns and bold ideas and candidates under the age of 50!

I was privileged to be invited in to Bill de Blasio’s City Hall and Gracie Mansion. I wouldn’t have set foot in with Adams. Now I can be proud of my mayor again. See you January 1 Mr Mayor!

Funny how all that protect women’s sports energy went out the window as soon as WNBA players showed up with T-shirts bringing awareness to the lack of financial equity they have in their league.

The WNBA All-Stars came out wearing warmup shirts that said, "Pay Us What You Owe Us."

The players' union met with the WNBA Thursday and came away frustrated with the economic model proposed by the league.

I’m looking forward to Stephen Colbert sharpening his knife over this year to show the capitulating Paramount what free speech is all about.

I edited together all the social interactions from the Cuomo campaign relaunch video and it became a short film about clinical depression

Lmao - here is one reason Trump is so desperate to sign the big fugly 🗑️ bill by July 4 weekend.

They know their numbers will only get worse from here.
Bartiromo: "We are waiting any moment now to get the jobs number for the month of June. The expectations call for the numbers to be up 95,000. Right now seeing the number -- actually, uh, showing a decline in jobs, uh, down 33,000, uh."

Republicans are still trying to pass their Big Betrayal Bill.

They held the previous vote open for hours—and STILL don’t have their shit together.

Maybe the problem isn’t the vote count. Maybe it’s the bill.

You can hold the vote open all night…trash is still trash.

This is a really important point. Most Medicaid recipients likely have NO idea that they’re about to lose their coverage.

May the senators who sold out the American people never know peace. I hope their constituents never let them forget this betrayal and this choice of cruelty over compassion. “Public servants” what a joke.

Here are some better names you can use instead of “Alligator Alcatraz”:

– The Kristi Kids Concentration Camp
– Taxpayer-Funded Isolation Compound
– ICE’s Florida Torture Compound
– Dehumanization with a Swamp View
– Noem–DeSantis Detainment Desert
– FEMA-Funded Human Holding Facility

No more AA.

This Supreme Court can see Trump’s reckless flouting of the law…and still they’re determined to increase his power. They are a real danger to our democratic society.

Man this hit me hard. Because it’s so damn true.
I saw so many people talking about how Mamdani and Lander were clearly running because they love their city and want to make life better there, while Cuomo seems to hate and fear it, and that feels like the key piece of this campaign that could be replicable by progressives everywhere
Great point by Courtney Gross on @spectrumnewsny1.bsky.social. The portrait of the City painted by Andrew Cuomo (and many of the city's elites) as a crime-ridden, apocalyptic hellhole ... it just doesn't match what most New Yorkers see every day.

In 2021, progressives in NYC failed to come together and the result was four years of a disastrous, corrupt Adams administration. In 2025, Lander and Mamdani formed a united front, and the result is that they beat Andrew Cuomo. Give this man his flowers, he put the city above his ego.
