I'm gonna say this as gently as I can, but we're at the point where Carney could straight up endorse Project 2025 and his partisan defenders would say he doesn't mean it, he's just playing 3D chess, etc.

What is "tossing in the towel"? What is "accusing"? He's the PM. It's called accountability.
This ☝. It's maddening how easily everyone is ready to toss in the towel and point an accusing finger. If CDN's can so easily turn on the one leader we have that can get us through this ugly mess, they will be the ones that bring us down, not Carney.

Pierre Poilievre has brought on a guy to help with his image: the dude behind Canada Proud, who once proudly posted an image of a signed munition headed for Gaza.

Meanwhile, the premiers met with Mark Carney to pitch projects - including pipelines - as wildfires burned around them.

Let's discuss:

But a win is Ferrari lost.
But I don't understand how anyone voted for Gunn.
The guy who claimed Indigenous bands “asked for” residential schools has a seat in Parliament. Ugh
One result I'm not seeing get a lot of attention: Aaron Gunn won. The guy who front-the most extreme parts of Poilievre's social and public safety agenda (he directed the "doc" Vancouver is Dying) will be heading to Ottawa.

"Immunity debt" is a marketing term to make you blame yourself instead of bad policy.

Whoa, Poilievre's announcement today:

He would invoke the notwithstanding clause to overturn a Supreme Court ruling and make sure multiple murderers die in prison.

This would make him the first prime minister to override the Charter using the notwithstanding clause.

A disgusting use of the Notwithstanding Clause but also, a truly 😕 position.

We can't afford to buy a home, we're on endless waitlists for health care, we're getting screwed by the US, human rights are being stripped away, etc. and he's going off about serial killers?

you have to be genuinely stupid as fuck to think american companies are going to respond to tariffs by building factories and moving manufacturing to the US. i don't know how else to say it. you have to be genuinely braindead

I'd also love for people to actually define the "cost of masking."

I have PTSD, I wear glasses & I live in a cold climate where fogging up is real.

I still mask everywhere.

People gotta be real that the cost is standing out and some of y'all are just not brave enough to do it.
Masking discourse is on again and I’ll just say if you see people masking when few others are it’s likely because they’ve determined that for them, in that setting, the benefit of not catching (or spreading) whatever’s going around is worth the cost of masking. It’s rarely more complicated than that

And representation impacts quality. A network that does this isn't going to cover the WAGE issue the way it should. It's going to enable genocide. It's going to both sides trans people's right to exist. And on and on.
What happened to @rachelgilmore.bsky.social is not just about CTV caving to Conservative pressures. There’s a larger issue: #cdnmedia are pushing out any female voices, voices of colour and Indigenous voices that aren’t centre-right or right. Even then there is very little representation
