Day 15: Evening ##LyricsPrompt #LyricsPrompt2025

As Tears Go By, Rolling Stones

It is the evening of the day
I sit and watch the children play
Smiling faces I can see
But not for me
I sit and watch
As tears go by

This is maybe the first time I’ve felt he’s in actual trouble. I never thought Mueller would get him, nor did I expect Biden to go for the throat. I don’t know how it ends here, and I’m not saying he can’t get out of it. But it’s the worst trouble he’s been in.

Staff are being “un-RIFed” just to close the museum permanently — then RIFed again in Jan

NEW: At Pope Leo’s Urging, Bishops Issue Historic Rebuke of Trump’s Raids
Nearly all U.S. Catholic bishops united in Baltimore to denounce the Trump administration’s “inhumane” deportation campaign — a near-unanimous, unprecedented moral stand against a sitting president.

It's driving me batty that nobody except Heather Cox Richardson, the Washington Monthly, and myself is covering Trump's race to sell off (for likely demolition) "the Sistine Chapel of the New Deal," w/ murals by Ben Shahn, Philip Guston, etc. I've furnish links below to help reporters get started.

Now I find this (posthumous) gesture very touching. And I’m sorry we were so mean.

The Five Boroughs Token was the only token issued by NYCTA that was never successfully counterfeited.

When the MetroCard was introduced in 1993, it coexisted with tokens for a decade before tokens were completely phased out of use.
