The way how everything works together to lead the eye to a deafening sound in visual form is just *chefs kiss*
Fricking love this Nowlan panel

Went to #anthrocon this past weekend and helped run the indie-retro booth in the game room. Felt inspired to draw some quick furry (and a bit Lackadaisy inspired) versions of characters in a TTRPG I run. A Honduran white bat ghosty girl, and a raccoon former thief.

My favourite of all of Supergiant's games. Even moreso than Hades

Part 3v3 wizard basketball sports drama visal novel, part action game, all reactive to player choice. Defeat is never the end (it's just sports!), and a lot of the best story arcs come from making mistakes.

Crank that difficulty up!

Big agree with this article. Absolum went from "Oh, that's neat" to a day 1 but after playing the demo. Really worth checking out.

Absolum isn't just the best demo on Steam, it's one of my favorite things I've played in 2025
The best game of Steam Next Fest is a roguelike beat 'em up.

One of the things mentioned here is that they arrived in unmarked cars and wore casual clothing, so if staff hadn’t had the courage to tell them to go away, how would you know they were federal agents and not random adult men abducting children? This should be the biggest conservative mom panic ever
BREAKING: Federal agents in plain clothes and unmarked cars tried to snatch 1st graders from LA elementary schools—told staff they had “parental consent.”

They lied. When pressed, they HID THEIR IDS. DHS admits they sent them. This wasn’t a welfare check. It was a test run for a police state.

This rules for a lot of reasons, but especially because it dispels the myths that A.) old games were never political and B.) games like this are just stories, they aren't "about" anything. Should serve as a reminder to anyone writing about games why we should be close reading 'em.

RTing an EPIC comics history thread by our late studiomate Jesse Hamm. Jesse, an artist and educator. This was one of Jesse's best & it shouldn't be left to languish on twitter.
It's long though, so if not interested, mute #hammthread.

Modern video game commercials: Lavish graphics. A stirring narration. An exciting reveal.

90s commercials: A kid dressed as a robot kicks Bigfoot in the dick. The room erupts in flame. Secret service agents dive through the windows and open fire. Tetris 2, now on Game Boy.

1. I made friends who are closer to me than family, and am grateful they are still in my life.
2. Yes and no. I never would've met them otherwise, but it was a lot of money I'm still paying off for a predatory school that got class action law suited into oblivion for the scammers they were.
Art School Discourse is happening again, so I wanna see something.

🎨 If you went to/graduated from an art school/art college/art major:

1. What was your most valuable takeaway(s) from your experience?

2. In hindsight, was it all worth it for those main takeaways?

Me in the final mission for "Clair Obscur: Expedition 33" after dicking around doing most of the optional end game stuff for 15 hours.

"Clair Obscur: Expedition 33" is one of the best JRPG's of all time. The combat is incredible and can lead to some crazy builds, the world is unique and surprising to explore, the story is beautifully told if not heartbreaking, and the performances and music are absolutely top notch. A masterpiece.

Should probably use this more. Try to network, get names out there, promote projects etc.

Unrelated "Clair Obscur: Expedition 33" is incredible and everyone should try it.
