Everyone who works in climate and weather has passed through its doors and benefited from its incredible resources.
Dismantling NCAR is like taking a sledgehammer to the keystone holding up our scientific understanding of the planet.

This would be a huge win. This was their chance to put their "red team" views into the official record and the best they could do was to present an epic failure. They'll claim it was just ideological opposition, but in the end their view of the science crashed and burned in front of everyone.

Today, I was asked if I plan to take time off for the holidays. I sheepishly replied, “Sort of.” I went on to explain that I’ve been out of work for nearly 6 months, that I had been DOGE’d. The person asked me to explain, so I told them that my Federal agency no longer wants my skillset. 1/2

Meanwhile in Carolina, Brandon Bussi just improved to 9-1-0 to start his career.
He’s only the 5th goalie in NHL history with 9 wins in their first 10 starts. The others:

Excellent article and interview with Gabriel Vilardi, who bravely opens up about how anxiety has affected him since he was a child. Kudos to him for helping erase the stigma associated with mental health.
