Here’s Jeremy Swayman’s Olympic mask for Team U.S.A.

Simple and clean. I love the look of the stripes created by the trail of the jets on top.

Czech players make up only 2.8% of the NHL

2% of the forwards
1% of the defensemen
9% of the goalies

How is Czechia developing so many awesome goalies?

Dominik Hašek led the Czech Republic to Olympic gold in 1998.

Could Lukáš Dostál, Karel Vejmelka and Dan Vladař do it again this year?

My story inside the rise of Czech goaltending ⤵️
Could the Czech Republic’s goaltending make it an Olympic men’s hockey dark horse?
Lukáš Dostál has heard plenty about Dominik Hašek's gold medal in 1998. Can he help his country pull off the upset this month?

“Some goalies like to stay in their bubble, and others step outside of it. From my experience, the best goalies I’ve played with would... try to get the guys going."

On Dan Vladar's importance to the Flyers, which is about more than just stopping pucks:

The goalie is clearly the Flyers' MVP of the season during play, but what happens between whistles sets him apart.

The first rule of Goalie Fight Club, is you do not talk about Goalie Fight Club.

So instead, @joshuakloke.bsky.social and I wrote about it.

Inside the unwritten rules of goalie fights ⤵️
What happens when NHL goalies decide to fight — and is there an unwritten code?
It's not in goalies' nature to fight each other, but sometimes they drop the gloves. Here's how it often plays out.

Final- Vegas 4, Los Angeles 1

The Golden Knights win their last two games before the Olympic break. They were very needed, as was the solid performance by Adin Hill in net. He stopped 32 of 33.

Up 4-1, Bruce Cassidy sends out a power play unit of Braedan Bowman, Cole Reinhardt, Kai Uchacz, Ben Hutton and Shea Theodore.

Adin Hill slides across for a big save off his mask on a one-timer by Kempe.

This is the best Hill has looked all season.
February 6, 2026 at 5:28 AM
Andrei Kuzmenko is back on the ice.
February 6, 2026 at 4:38 AM
Breakaway for Adrian Kempe in the first minute of the period, and Adin Hill makes a huge glove save.

This time he went with a more traditional play, sliding laterally with Kempe as he cut across the front of the net, and made a tough save look easy.
February 6, 2026 at 4:13 AM
Andrei Kuzmenko got hit in the neck/face by a really hard slap shot.

He was in a lot of pain, but was able to leave the ice under his own power.
February 6, 2026 at 3:50 AM
Adin Hill went for the two-pad stack, and it did not work out.

4-1
February 6, 2026 at 3:43 AM
That was Pavel Dorofeyev's 14th power play goal of the season.

With that, he passes Draisaitl and Kaprizov for sole possession of 2nd place in the NHL (behind Wyatt Johnston with 18).

4-0 Vegas

The Kings could've used Artemi Panarin tonight.
February 6, 2026 at 3:38 AM
That's 3 goals in about 5 minutes for the Golden Knights.

This time it's Pavel Dorofeyev into a wide-open net on the power play off a gorgeous saucer pass by Stone.
February 6, 2026 at 3:37 AM
Mark Stone makes it 2-0 with a deke to the backhand in front.

Eichel had a ridiculous pass to Barbashev on the backdoor just before it, but Barbashev couldn't get enough on it.

That line has looked incredible early tonight.

Adin Hill and Anton Forsberg lead their teams onto the ice for warm ups.

Final- Vegas 5, Vancouver 2

It took the Golden Knights some time to get going, but they eventually got there. They snap the losing streak at 5 games.
