My love of comic books got me into drawing super young. My mom's incessant holiday/celebration picture taking (seriously, she shot so much film) got me into photography. Stories about my dad building kits (which he really had no interest in teaching me to do) lead to me building/painting model kits.
With all this awful news going on i wanna ask this question once again to fellow artists and general creatives. What got YOU into art? what sparked that motivation to start writing? what made you wanna pick up a camera and start taking pics? Like share with us your reasons.

I remember seeing Peter Cullen say that the core tenant of the Optimus Prime character is that he's strong enough to be gentle (an attribute he says was based on his brother, a combat veteran).

A genuine bummer. I'd have never been able to afford to read as much as I did growing up if not for mass market paperbacks.
What a loss. Mass market paperbacks are the ideal novel format.
