MP-44 only had Nemesis, SG and a toy-themed repaint so the era of bonkers Masterpiece Convoy repaints might be behind us already

A joke is a joke but maybe when the biggest story in the news is about the most famous trafficker in the world it's a real fucking tonedeaf time to be doing girlfriend trade-in bits.

"she appeared to be in good condition" get that shit back to a early 2000s message board assholes.
February 4, 2026 at 12:52 AM
With everything going on the "deeply unfunny objectification of women gag" approach is a wild one to take.

a little annoyed that 3d printer bfs [gender neutral] all over the country have been validated by the whistles. it's as if the revolution had suddenly needed all the weird cables they're holding onto. you know what i mean.

I was going to hold off on MPG-17 until they inevitably made more interesting repaints but by all accounts he's genuinely fun and enjoyable in hand? Might have to splurge.

I assume this was the compromise necessary to get Nexus Prime out in the "Age of the Primes" toyline rather than whatever Generations gets called next year.
February 3, 2026 at 11:54 PM
That's....surprising. There isn't really a convenient size class for the skeleton and four deluxes/three deluxes and a voyager so I have to assume this will be a bespoke box set...which would presumably include Nexus himself again
They do show off Nexus using Silverbolt's frame in altmode as well, too. He looks much better there.

And yeah it sounds like there was a lot of discussion re: how they were gonna do Nexus sizeclasswise behind the scenes. 2027 WILL see Nexus getting limbs though, they DO confirm this conclusively

yeah yeah that's crazy so is she single
Crime headline of the day.
February 3, 2026 at 10:59 PM
Well let's not get too crazy, it might still have crippling design flaws or be made out of plastic so thin you can read a book through it. The possibilities are endless

If we ever get an official Masterpiece of him I'm hoping for a teeny tiny painted Astoria tho
February 3, 2026 at 10:19 PM
I rag on retail releases all the time but with this Powerglide coming with a gun, his alien mask and a painted heart circuit thingy, I'll take back, like, three nasty things I said.
HEART CONFIRMED. And it's painted?!
February 3, 2026 at 10:19 PM
Yeah but you need two Energon Six Shots to go with him.

As much as I unironically love the idea of animation error characters a) this ain't it and b) this mold is surely just so much wet cheese by this point

M.A.S.K. is fascinating because despite being a contemporary of the other shows it was stylistically more like a 70s adventure cartoon: no punching, no romance, no guns, no story arcs. Which makes "Trakker is a dick and Mayhem kills a bunch of dudes with acid" very weird.
February 3, 2026 at 3:24 PM
Like in the original game(s) when you can get a bicycle that costs more money than it's possible to have by listening to a dude simp for his own horse for a while. It's just the tongue-in-cheek way of the game checking its own flags.

I always prefer to think of Pokemon narratives as being allegorical rather than literal. It helps explain some of the more dream logic and cartoon logic moments, like how these kids are eating curry pastries ever night without getting a terrible case of The Grimers.

Okay, the sequel was a lot closer to my assumptions about the first movie. The first one was a surprisingly intimate, emotional affair with a strong aesthetic, while the latter was a far more action-packed and generic spooktacular.
February 2, 2026 at 9:17 PM
I never watched Black Phone before because the poster just made it look like a generic slasher but I just checked it out and it was actually really good. Working my way through the sequel now.

Brawl is a Voyager
February 1, 2026 at 10:48 PM
All I'll say is Hasbro knew what they were doing holding this figure for last when they knew there was a Voyager price hike, they knew that this would be a disappointment, and they knew that the completionist portion of the fandom were already mostly in on the Thirteen.
Ffffffforty-three dollars.
