This is a frankly stupid way to look at the subject. Trump does not care what "analysts say" or what this cold war agreement "allows" him to do, and neither does congress. He probably doesn't even know about any of this. That's not where his power or decisions come from.
Greenland doesn't want to be bought by anyone — especially not the U.S.

But a Cold War agreement already allows President Trump to increase military presence on the territory, analysts say. Here's what to know.
Buy Greenland? Take It? Why? An Old Pact Already Gives Trump a Free Hand.
Analysts say the Cold War agreement allows the president to increase the American military presence almost at will.

"you have not played the game unless you've played the game" is one of my more annoying but unshakable opinions
the whole "don't play the game, just watch a video on youtube that will explain its story to you" is so disheartening because the issue of accessibility is genuinely really important but it's always just people who want to be spoon-fed nicely quantifiable information

I saw Merrily We Roll Along and thought it was fantastic. More people would like musicals if they knew there was stuff like this. It's only a shame it didn't get more marketing—most people I've talked to didn't know it was in theaters until I told them.

This obviously doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things but one of the more subtly weird things about this administration is that it's just considered perfectly normal now for political figures to say swear words in an official setting

This composition had eluded me for nearly a decade, but yesterday I was finally able to capture it. A train rolled through just as the Duquesne Incline was crossing over the tracks in #Pittsburgh, creating a picture perfect winter scene. It was worth the hours and hours I've waited over the years.

Absolutely crazy that so few videogame award events have a Best Puzzle Game category

Literally where are all the best new games from 2025 actually going to get their due

Tbh if you make a co-op game that doesn't have local co-op you shouldn't be allowed to call it a co-op game. Thats live service

The icon for the poke floats stage in smash bros melee. I thought it looked like a creepy face (I had poor vision and a small blurry crt) so I made my dad cover it up any time we were in stage select
What was the first video game that scared you?

It doesn't have to be a horror game. Maybe you didn't even play it -- plenty of ads freaked me out as a kid.

We call this one "the aquaman fallacy"
The thing about headlines like this is that
A) racists wouldn't care (or worse)
B) systemic racism requires more than a headline to explain
C) the same sort of brain which can accept "sea level rise isn't a big deal, people can just sell their property" will ask "why don't they just move?"
Deaths, illness from air pollution related to gas and oil hit people of color hardest, study finds

New Kirby air ride is cool but giving it a holiday release, when everyone will be buying the mario kart switch 2 bundle, is the most comically stupid decision of all time. That game is going to fail so hard

The hundred line feels like what you'd get if you wrote a script and then didn't cut a single scene for pacing/runtime. Idk if this is actually true but it feels like it

#Dragalialost #Losties I think it would be really nice for us to come together and help out our prince 👑 through a tough time. Please consider contributing if you can. Paypal automatically converts between currencies so it's super easy.
Nongman got very sick very quickly this weekend and the vet bills are already very difficult. The next 48 hours are going to be tough. We’ve already cancelled our honeymoon. If you can help even a little it would mean more than I can possibly articulate.

I'm sorry but the reaction to sws is just straight up weird. This whole mentality of "what are we doing wrong, why can't we beat the Japanese people" is sore loser behavior. I understand being sad that your favorite team lost but it is not cause for some grand reckoning in the west

This may be radical but I think the government should be able to completely shut down a company over something like this.
How did 3M’s “forever chemicals” end up in all of us? Sharon Lerner reports the inside story of the corporate scientists who discovered—then helped to conceal—the dangers of its chemicals.
How 3M Discovered, Then Concealed, the Dangers of Forever Chemicals
The company found its own toxic compounds in human blood—and kept selling them.

If I were a teacher this game would be required reading in my class. It's short and easy but has endless room for analysis. It's politically relevant but not preachy. It's equal parts funny and poignant. If you have any interest at all in games with a deep and compelling narrative this is the one
