i think we should stop telling people about tourist traps. it’s antithetical to the natural order of the world, like stopping a wolf from eating a bird

someone should make a downdetector-like site that just says "no", but with a dependency on every major cloud service so if one of them is down the page won't load

i am so tired of mobile devs pretending like nobody uses the guide button on controllers 😭 apple hijacks it for all sorts of things and the latest backbone app update just removes the functionality from the controller entirely

like i think the narrative that the masses aren’t migrating to windows 11 because its “enshittified” is kinda silly. windows 10 has most of the same garbage, and the average user is nowhere near tech-savvy enough to care. i honestly wonder why microsoft sacrificed their auto updates to version bump

i hate modern windows as much as the next guy, but the slow migration to windows 11 is kind of.. unremarkable? most people do everything in browsers nowadays, and browsers aren’t going to EOL W10 anytime soon when its so similar to W11. security is the only real incentive, and people just dont care

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."
There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.
