So far in the Phillies “get right” series in Washington they’ve gone 1-2, been shutout, had their star closer acquisition get hit by a liner, and possibly just lost their ace for the season. Can’t wait for them to go out there tomorrow morning and do another Heaven’s Gate.

The entire concept of rich guys owning sports teams is an antiquated idea from when players worked day jobs and you needed someone to pay for train tickets to away games. With rare exceptions every team is capable of operating on the Packers model of just being a publicly owned nonprofit.
