It's getting a lot of attn today. But even before today most of the country had very little idea of what has happened at NIH or through it the entire ecosystem of biomedical research in the US. Simply put, Musk, Kennedy & Trump exploded a bomb right in the middle of cancer cure research in the US.

Just a reminder that the NIH has been shut down, and nobody is reporting it. $29 billion in congressionally allocated research funds have been suspended with no announcement, timeline, or explanation.

the "DEI pilots" thing is not only untrue, but the opposite of true. The piloting profession in the late 20th century was so dominated by one Guy Type that they had to invent a new kind of training that forced pilots to listen to their first officers so they would stop flying planes into the ground
