An Alberta Sovereignty banner has gone up in my neighbourhood. The house also has a Trump flag, and a half Alberta/half American flag.
So do they want sovereignty, or do they want to be annexed? I doubt they know. Just dumb enough to be dangerous.

For all the folks attending protests and collecting signatures in Alberta, it might be a good idea to brush up on these skills.
We need a referendum to force the government to never introduce or pass laws based entirely on religious grounds.

I know it’s a coincidence and has likely been booked for months prior to being released publicly, but Dave Chappelle announcing a show in Edmonton the morning after our government stripped rights away from the Trans community is a little too on-the-nose, don’t ya think?

I’m watching The Tragically Hip live at MuchMusic from 2000 and aside from the complete lack of crowd control around the building the part that makes me feel oldest is that the show just put up a fax number for people to send in questions.

Just watched an interview with Mike Elliott on Global. It’s the first time I’ve seen or heard anything from him aside from a flyer in my mailbox a month ago. He was on screen for about 4 minutes and didn’t mention the people of Edmonton once. The police and Provincial govt? Numerous times. Telling.

Those Future Voter stickers at advance polling stations are a nice touch. It would be a lot of work and completely impractical, but one day I’d love to see a kid’s voter card they can mark with an X and deposit in a ballot box too. Make it candy vs ice cream or something fun to engage anybody <18.
