“You may have seen the viral video of a woman ripping a baby wombat from its distressed mother. Social media erupted in outrage, and rightfully so! But many of the people furiously typing angry comments about this incident are, in fact, supporting something far worse every single day.”

An article on the "ethics" of cloning pigs for xenotransplantation that completely ignores the ethics of experimenting on and killing animals.

recent political developments show that people understand the usefulness of boycotts and the power of disaggregated consumer actions. the inefficacy objection to such actions in the case of animal products isn't political realism; it's a revealed preference.

The way I reach young men is explaining how they've been underestimated. The Trumps, Musks, and Tates of the world think they can't be responsible, can't do emotional labor, can't look out for others, and can't care about people different from themselves. I believe they can be better than that.
The first thing we need to do to win "back" young men in a useful way is explain that the people who told them they were entitled to the world on a plate lied.

ANYWAY, did you know there's an extension you can put on Chrome that will connect with your local library system and when you go look at a book, say on AMZ, it will tell you if that book exists in the library system and if it's available?

It's literally called Library Extension.
