After 12+ years of labor, "The Omnivore's Deception" is out today. I chronicle the rise of the meat industry, show its catastrophic ecological effects, demolish the myth of the "enlightened" omnivore, show why animals are worthy of our respect, and advocate the abolition of the animal food economy.
"If an investigation into any one of the targets suggested by Mr. Trump were to ultimately start, it could allow the Justice Department to refuse to release any further files related to Mr. Epstein by claiming that the disclosures could harm continuing inquiries."

At a time when oceanic life is being wiped out and octupuses are being slaughtered in the millions, this sort of glib speculation, with its anthropocentric cast (octopuses are clever creatures like us), is an unhelpful distraction from the extinction emergency.

"We have yet to see anyone who was under 10, under 14" when they were tossed around and shared as sex toys by the billionaire male elite. But 15 year olds high school kids? They were consenting adults.

Ironic, isn't it, that the public finds it easier to believe the words of a dead man who was the world's most notorious sexual predator and child abuser, than the words of dozens of still-living women.

Michael Wolff tried to buy New York Mag — with money from Harvey Weinstein and Jeffrey Epstein.

So Wolff didn't just have a reporter-source relationship with Epstein. Nor was Wolff his informal PR adviser. They saw each other as potential business partners.

Wondering which line the selectively-mute 'Speaker' Mike Johnson will go with today, what with all of the breaking Epstein news and such.
