went out and took some photos of tonight's aurora.
not quite as spectacular as last October when i did this, completely invisible to the naked eye, but the pink is still quite pretty when viewed through a long exposure
(this is with a 12mm wide angle prime lens, on a canon eos r100)

i think if you ride public transit enough you learn that most weird behavior is not dangerous, and conversely i think driving a car teaches you that everyone is trying to kill you at all times
