My wife had a single line in Kung Fu Panda 17 years ago and still gets checks every few months. Most are way smaller than this, but devs get $0 even though the games we work on will likely be sold for 10+ years soooo yeah.

If you've never been to Gaza, you won't appreciate what the yellow line means. Basically Israel now holds most of Gaza's small but important agricultural land. Continued Israeli occupation, which I judge the likely outcome, makes Gaza even more unliveable and more dependent on outside goods.

The answer to "the AI systems that corporate overlords push everywhere are shit" is not "so we need open source AI".
These systems are shit cause they structurally are. They are just being shoved everywhere to reduce labor power. "Open source AI" (if that even existed) is not changing that.
