20 hours into Nioh 3 and just unlocked a new time period and map. Wasn't expecting that lol

I'd stayed away from Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar for so long now, but boooooy has it gripped me more than a whole lot of other games in the genre. It hits all the right spots for me and has some amazing quality of life or just outright design choices that make the experience so much better.

"What if ADHD isn't a deficit of attention, but an intensified curiosity?"

Sure and if my grandmother had wheels, she'd have been a bike.
Just putting a positive spin on it doesn’t fix what makes life harder for us. If my “hypercuriosity” pulls me off task, I become unreliable, and that creates conflict/closes doors. THAT is the problem

To change that would mean changing society and I can’t imagine a society without deadlines…

"This is my hole! It was made for me!" but I have a donut in my hand and I'm about to commit a sin.

It's crazy that Blue Prince isn't in VR. It's so perfect for it in every single way.

Some people at the D.I.C.E. Awards need to learn how to take a joke and just laugh, fucking hell lol

I really wish I could play horror games.

All I wanted from the podracing game is a sense of speed, and it seems like they nailed that part thankfully.

Way too many racing games do nooooot feel like you're going as fast as it tells you.

Game sells a ton and posts how successful it is already - layoffs

Game has a rough start and doesn't hit the desired numbers 2 weeks in - layoffs

There might be a lot of people wanting to get into the games, but you can't magically replace senior devs over and over. They WILL leave the industry.
Games need to be built differently. If every game lives or dies by its day-one, there is no future, period -- live games demand new production plans, and your first year needs runway/planning.

For employees -- not content. Because you need those to make stuff. Infuriating and sad. Love to the team.
Several now-former Highguard developers at Wildlight Entertainment have posted about layoffs at the company, with one remarking that they had affected "most of the team."

The news comes just two weeks after Highguard's launch, and ahead of its first post-launch update.

Might fuck around and try to beat my fear of public speaking through the worst exposure therapy I can think of: doing stand up.

Top 3 pieces of art I saw at the open air museum in Hakone.

Stared at the first one for so long, the second constantly had water coming out like it was crying, and the third was some erdtree roots elden ring type shit.

Every apartment building should be above a grocery store.

I was worried about Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls only having 20 characters at launch being a 4v4, buuuuut honestly a ton of people are and will treat it like a 1 character fighter with 3 assists as opposed to actually using all 4 characters. I know I sure won't. Obviously more would be nice, though.

Didn't watch the super bowl, but seems like there was unsurprisingly a ton of ads about AI.

It's pretty obvious why every single company is so desperate to spend a ton of money to tell you how much you need shitty AI in your life. Because they're backing a bubble and losing money.

Fuck them.

Spent all day sick on the couch watching 90s commercial compilations on YouTube to pretend I was home from school and a kid again.

It's funny too because (in my personal experience), game writers can easily write a Hollywood script but writers in Hollywood struggle massively to write for games.
I may delete this because it’s a bit spicy but it shouldn’t be lost on us that games being turned into TV is essentially harvesting the stories written by those who don’t have union representation or healthcare with WGA by those that do. Our stories are good enough for TV but the writers aren’t?

Really hoping I start feeling less sick so I can play a bit of this bad boy over the weekend.

Been so stoked for its release after the demo, but now don't have enough energy to even sit and play it.

Also, I love steelbooks so much.

The worst kind of sick is when you can't even game. I wanna play Dragon Quest VII Reimagined so badly but can hardly look at a screen today.

Super sick but I still have my appetite. What kind of cruel joke is this? At least let me drop some pounds.

No person needs even 1 billion dollars for their entire life, let alone any number above that.

There should be no world where someone is working paycheck to paycheck while others have more money than they could use in 1000 lifetimes.

Can't stop thinking about Nioh 3. Friday can't come fast enough.
Got a solid 9 hours out of the Nioh 3 demo. Basically did 100% of what's possible in it.

Damn good game and damn good demo (with progress that carries over).

Super cool that Highguard moved so quickly on feedback and added 5v5. Now I'm just gonna hold out hope they make it more of a CTF game where you can attack each other's base simultaneously somehow.

Would be so fun telling people to get back on defense or try to sneak someone out to attack imo.

Spent 90 straight minutes in the Nioh 3 character creator and could have spent double that since it technically allows you to make two full characters you play simultaneously.

10/10 options, especially for hair. You can edit bangs and other aspects instead of being locked into the base hairstyle.
