Dear world,
You’d all be a lot happier if you had universal and preferential voting, like Australia. You really would. We sort of tripped over and fell into this system and (as is habit) got lucky. Doesn’t mean we don’t want to share it, though. Seriously, give it a try.

Gave up a while back, but is there anyone inside Walkley Awards who cares to understand that arts journalism & arts criticism are not the same thing? Merging 2 awards into 1 probably sounded efficient to people who only read their own books & saw no point in the awards anyway.

It’s almost 2yrs since the day Commissioner Catherine Holmes handed down her final report on Robodebt & referred those responsible for criminal prosecution. It was a day we felt like finally something was happening.
