ICE saying that birth certificates, state ids like driver’s licenses, and U.S. issued ids are not not sufficient evidence of citizenship seems like a major question to me.
So the new admin policy is, apparently, if we don’t think you are a “citizen” because of your race or ethnicity, we claim your birth certificate is a fraud and deport you any way, even if a judge says “don’t you dare.” It’s Obama birtherism writ large.

I remember the phrase "they can't be allowed to melt back into society" re: the de-Baathification of Iraq after the war there. Like everything about that experience, the attempt was cynical, stupid, and botched. But there really should be a plan about what we do with guys like these in the future.
