I few years ago I wrote a tongue-in-cheek guide to writing literary haiku called "How to Write Bad Haiku."
It also has a picture of the late great Jabberwok, who was tortoiseshell with white patches, and whom I miss.
Enjoy!

How to Write Bad Haiku
A humorous guide to writing "bad" haiku -- mediocre and boring ones -- whose goal is to help people write and edit haiku better.

This is a really smart point: that this argument rests on a combination of both misogyny and a populist hostility to class inequality. By asserting that women dominate the managerial class, misogynists can depict women as the oppressors. Something "left" and "right" misogynists would find convincing

I understand that it’s rhetorically useful for these people to feminize management, corporations and the wealthy—to make misogyny and antifeminism seem more plausible as a righteous populism of punching up. But you can’t just state empirical untruths!!

Despite industry leaders promising that agentic AI is the future, taking care of virtually all human tasks within the next few years

#CarnegieMellonUniversity researchers just released a paper showing that even the best–performing AI agents fail to complete real-world office tasks 70% of the time

I was a socially and politically ignorant teen for both of these “scandals” and all I can remember is how those two women were treated by the media. I swear there was more coverage of cigars, a blue dress, and Coke cans than their humanity.
The reason why most women my age couldn't care less if Bill Clinton goes down with the ship is that we were teens & young women when the Anita Hill and Monica Lewinsky scandals happened. It's rotten to the core. All the way down. Your "lost" era is not ours.
Seriously, what is wrong with these people?

Authors, Beware! There's a firm called "ClaimsHero" doing aggressive social media outreach claiming to
"help" you file to get $ in the Anthropic class action. In fact, it's a bait-and-switch, they are luring authors to sign up with them, then OPTING THEM OUT of the class action so they'll get zilch.

It’s baby octopus season 🐙🦑

Saw this little guy last night with the Salish Sea School in Anacortes, WA as part of their free community dock walk I volunteer as an interpreter for.

We can tell it is a giant pacific octopus from the single line of chromatophores on each arm.
