record of a project I started today- doing some mending and restoration work on my favorite winter coat. I only took pics w/ the arms inside out, but this is before/areas I want to address. already sewed 2 missing buttons back on. 1/?
a close-up of the sleeve of my coat. this is specifically the elbow side, which has started to fray along the seam and there are two small holes that need to be patched. fortunately they're small. the coat is a particular shade of warm coral or salmon pink, and the faded and dirty parts are pretty noticeable. another close-up of a sleeve, this time while the sleeve is inside-out. spoilers: this thing was nasty and I was embarrassed at how clean I was able to get it. I thought these were permanent!!!!!!! the inside of the sleeve is like a light brown polyester, and the cuffs are brown corduroy a view of the jacket spread out on my kitchen floor. both sleeves are turned inside out. you can see the grime on the inside of this coat from space. horrible. can't remember the last time I washed it before today, whoops another sleeve close up, showing the cuff right way out. it also has wear and tear similar to what was described in the other pics.
