a perennial cowardice holding many mediums back tbh
This was actually proposed as an idea but immediately discarded after every member of the marketing team started bleeding out of every orifice when presented with the idea of putting the beautiful actress in disfigurment makeup for a majority of the runtime.

over the weekend I started The Séance of Blake Manor, an uncommonly sharp Irish folk horror detective story. Only just getting into the mystery but I love it already. A good game for people who aren’t usually into games

EXCLUSIVE: So far it's been unclear what proof Rockstar Games has to justify its firing of 34 union members, who it claims were leaking "confidential information in a public forum".

PMG has now seen some of the messages which contributed to this decision being made.

Makes me want to cry to see a writer who isn't defensive about the position of writing in games, but celebrates it. It's so nice to see someone hopeful about its growth in a time where a lot of us struggle to hold on to hope
just incredibly thrilled to announce that after months and months of uncertainty over the future of the game, and several I have bought Zombies, Run!, the game I co-created and have been making for the past 12 years:

I was in an okay admin job and a truly terrible relationship. All I wanted to do was write about games. My sister spotted a job ad. I made a really good PowerPoint presentation.

Anyway, two days into the job my ex dumped me over text. My life has only improved since.
What’s the lore behind choosing your career path ?

Labyrinth of the Demon King. That sound design is so good that I just couldn't stand it.
I finished Biohazard yesterday. I hate it 🙃

Friendship ended with Arc Raiders - I've apparently got rats to splat.
Cool free stuff alert: They're giving away the base version of Warhammer: Vermintide 2 this weekend.

Really good co-op first-person brawler about the world's most dysfunctional friend group fighting through the ratpocalypse.

There's some decent DLC but they've added a LOT for free over the years.

You've got until the end of tomorrow to grab this and convince your friends to do the same. The bots ain't terrible either if you want to play it solo, has drop-in/drop-out multiplayer, and thanks to the giveaway, tons of new players.

It's just a good time.

Loco Motive might have like, some of the best voice acting of any adventure game I've played? I am VERY picky about voice acting and often skip lines due to my high reading speed, even in games I enjoy the writing in a lot. Loco Motive's cast is fucking killing it. They elevate every single line

real bleak stuff, man. infuriating that freelancers have to fight through a tidal wave of bullshit to even be considered now. writers starting out now have it impossibly rough, I feel I only have a shot because I’ve been doing this long enough that people know me
