My baby sister offered a very compelling review of Nosferatu.

Ya girl was left cravin' a little more from Kraven last night
A 1 and a half star review of 2024's Kraven, posted to Letterboxd. The full review reads as follows: 'Aaron Taylor-Johnson certainly brings some Wolfman appeal, and I appreciate his commitment to getting down on all fours in this role. Some mildly interesting, animalistic body mechanics aside though, this film is //hysterically// bad. For a start, it is hysterical that the film tries to pass off England as 'Upstate New York'. Kraven's first human kill feels like something out of a student film (to say nothing of whether we're meant to laugh at later bloody kills, or to be horrified--the film itself is just as confused about that as we are). When a young Kraven admits to a dock worker that he's on the run and asks for passage, the 'yeah, alright then' in response is hysterical. My hyena cackling aside though, the film also manages to be totally sauceless despite its leading man, and sequences that look like they'd otherwise get a lot of mileage among the Twilight fan cam scene. So no, not 'so bad it's good,' or even really a 'so bad, you just have to hunt it down for yourself.''

Ah. So, alongside the old company logo and startup noise, Sony have only gone and brought back a much requested, positively retro feature for the 30th anniversary.

My final review for PLAY magazine turned out to be the Silent Hill 2 remake. The 2001 game was already incredibly special to me, and you can read some of my thoughts on Bloober's remake in PLAY's farewell issue, on UK shop shelves October 15th.
