It's funny because what they ultimately mean is "they used their welfare benefits to buy a Cadillac." Every lie about welfare abuse is the descendant of the outrageous image of a Black woman driving a car that only a white man could afford.
When people say that I always wanna be like "what do you mean by abuse here? Do you mean eating something that isn't gruel fit to kill a Victorian era child? Do you mean some people who use SNAP aren't utterly destitute?"

Being upper class and white is normal and correct. Being middle class without being white is nepotism. It is really exhausting how nakedly racist the everything is right now.
I like my employer, and there are good reasons employee donation matching doesn't make sense for them. And I tell myself that over and over again every time I make a donation and the website makes me feel like my donation doesn't REALLY matter because I didn't fill in the "employer match" section.

The great thing about the flurry of price hikes is that I realized that when I activated the Hulu / Disney+ bundle, that didn't actually cancel my Disney+ subscription, so I was paying for Disney+ twice. Fixed!

I thought that maybe Trump hadn't fulfilled his dream of using nukes yet because he was aiming for the Nobel, but I'm coming around to the idea that he personally is not in command of the armed forces.
