Zelensky once launched his career as both comedian and politician by rallying against corruption. How far will he distance himself from his disgraced chief of staff? | Bethany Elliott

Downfall of top ally leaves Zelensky vulnerable
“We wonder why our politicians make the same mistakes when they enter the halls of power. All they know is to divide and subtract. If I could have just one week in office, I would show them.” Thus…

Scooped four Tony Awards and ended a sixteen year marriage.
‘Arcadia’ in 2009 and ‘Travesties’ in 2016 are two of my favourite ever theatrical performances.

But my most memorable #TomStoppard experience was ‘Leopoldstadt’ where, after it finished, a couple had a blazing row with him chasing after her, loudly demanding “How was I to know it was no good?!”

Bar with a band taking requests. I asked for ‘Girl, You’ll Be A Woman Soon’ by Neil Diamond. And he doesn’t know it so he’s doing ‘Sweet Caroline’.

That’s not the same thing, is it? It’s not the same thing at all.

Law and Order also taught me that New York ADAs are very attractive young women, if the whole thing is solved more than 15 minutes before the end that means there’s a twist to come, and the most famous actor in it committed the crime because they wouldn’t have hired someone famous just for ten mins.
My American colleague started to explain the grand jury system to me so I stopped him in his tracks because if there is *one* thing Jack McCoy taught me…

I’m also weirdly knowledgable about getting a trial moved to Albany.

Clive James writes about how he tried to do the Paul Heinreid thing of lighting two cigarettes to give one to an attractive girl at a party, only for her to say she didn’t smoke, meaning he had to carry on smoking both simultaneously like a walrus.
You know how science invented vaping, for people who want the hit of smoking a cigarette while looking like an absolute dweeb? When will science invent a cigarette for people who don't want to smoke but do want to kid themselves that they are Paul Heinreid in 'Now Voyager'?

Hairdressers and they’ve given me a stack of magazines. Do you ever read one of those profiles and instinctively know this person would’ve bullied you at school? Like, you read the words ”flick of her glossy long auburn locks” and feel the interior of the locker pressing down on your shoulders.
