Two weeks until measels is endemic disease in the US. Meaning the virus will have circulated for 12 consecutive months.
We are in Medieval times.

16 cases are linked to a church, which followed exposures at four schools last week.

The outbreaks are threatening to cost the country its measles elimination status, which was earned in 2000 after vaccination efforts stopped the virus from spreading continuously. 🧪

Australia’s TGA has added the new Comirnaty LP.8.1 COVID-19 vaccine, targeting the LP.8.1 variant.

It’s recommended annually for adults 18–64 who aren’t severely immunocompromised and is free for all residents.

Pfizer says it’s now available.

I hosted a show at CHUO 89.1 for nearly a decade. This is such devastating news. And sadly, it can be traced back to conservative campaigns on campus which pushed students to reject levies that pay for things like campus media.

CHUO lost its levy two years ago and was never able to recover.
