Rapidly aging lefty. Horror/Noir/Crime/SF&F junkie. Bruce Springsteen is god/Stephen King his first prophet. Walter Hill is a duke among directors. The next four years will be a horrorshow, but we will all go down together.

I always had a deep and abiding fondness for Sally K. An amazing and underrated actor who brought 100% to EVERY role. Still remember her blowing Costner off the screen in REVENGE.

Bari absolutely rocks. Her two ideas for stories are "I have this famous person's phone number" and "I heard libs were doing some weird stuff out there." Absolutely replacement level suburban dunce.

What a fucking jabroni.
I've never seen a word-to-insanity ratio like this before
Chip Roy: "The truth is the marxist, radicals, and Islamists the Democratic Party promoted this weekend, they cannot handle the truth. The truth is that there is a king and that king is Jesus. And the president has been willing to say it, & Charlie Kirk was willing to say it & he got killed for it."

What we might refer to as a "Kavanaugh Stop"
WOW. The lead plaintiff is a Latino man who's been here legally for 24 years. He was grabbed off the street by plainclothes federal agents who didn't even ASK about his status.

He was detained overnight and only released once a supervisor realized he had been illegally arrested.

I love the @jaxlibrary.bsky.social. It is so much more than just books, although they have a great selection of books, periodicals, graphic novels, and one of the largest zine collections on the East Coast. And yours truly has a few in the collection.
If you don’t have a library card go get one. Even if you don’t plan on using it right away, go get one. Keep our libraries alive.

So…Orange Shitler has decided to pardon or commute the 1/6 Nazis. And—there it is; the rule of law means fucking nothing anymore.

There's Peace In Transgression: In Memory Of David Lynch
For so many who grew up feeling like David Lynch was “their” filmmaker, this loss is incalculable. But like all great creators, we may have lost the man, but what he's given us will live on. Thank you...

After 14 years at my last gig, thought it might be ducky if I at age 66, should change up and start a new position. My imposter syndrome has kicked into high gear.

Heh.

Go hard. Make them scared to leave the house.

Columbus doing everyone proud.
heartwarming story for the holidays ❤️‍🔥

“…the neo-Nazis told police they had never experienced a response like the one they received in Columbus. They said people pulled guns on them and threw cans and vegetables as they marched... One of the officers noted the men were ‘covered in’ pepper spray.”

wapo.st/3ZyU5ap My old rural university is being pummeled out of existence by years of corruption, mismanagement, and greed. The visual/performing arts departments (once an incredibly vibrant part of the school) has been thoroughly decimated. The nursing staff also quit en masse.
Rural students’ options shrink as colleges slash majors
As enrollments fall, rural-serving universities are shedding degree programs ranging from music to chemistry.
