The Dept of Edu just proposed a rule that will limit loan eligibility for nursing graduate & professional degrees starting July 2026.

DNP-level nurses make up less than 2% of the workforce & our field really needs more advanced nurses to further the field. This administration is bat shit crazy.

Didn’t Starr also do something Peeping Tom-adjacent on a group trip to France? Or did I hallucinate that part?
Things to know about Epstein hugger Ken Starr: prosecuted Bill Clinton for lying about consensual (if inappropriate) sex, got fired from Baylor University for doing nothing about an on-campus rape epidemic.
Republican legal icon and Clinton scourge Ken Starr signs off a touching note to Jeffrey Epstein with "hugs." Amazing.

My god (sorry I’m late on a bunch of this stuff. But wow!)

According to this NYT report, the head of the FBI and the Attorney General are holding meetings *in the Situation Room* with GOP lawmakers they are trying to pressure to rescind their votes to release the Epstein info. This is madness.

Since Trump took over, the IRS has

*one quarter of employees
*is now on its 8th leader

to me it’s an issue of dignity: having a dog changed my life, and for low-income housing to ban pets essentially says that low income people don’t deserve that happiness. I pushed to have this apartment building built and I’m happy for it, but this is so unfortunate www.brackensquare.com/faq

Are the positions subject to Senate confirmation, or do Jay & Bobby get the final say?

As one federal judge noted today, the Trump Administration's approach to SNAP during the shutdown "repeatedly shifted the goalposts for States, each time requiring States to rely on incorrect information not in accordance with the law."

That just about sums it up.
After the chaos of constantly shifting USDA guidance over the last week, a quick SNAP recap:
Some households received their full benefits.
Some got partial benefits.
Some got *different* partial benefits because USDA initially did the math wrong.
Many have still received nothing.

They voted against feeding hungry kids & lowering healthcare costs. But don’t worry—they voted in favor of Trump’s $40B Argentina bailout.
